Music That Heals

From the island of Borneo

Traditional Borneon music is a rare treat to the world and there is none better a band than At Adau that signifies the spirit and cultures of contemporary traditional borneon music. Rooted in the histories of the people of Borneo, At Adau expresses the unwritten narratives, morals, wisdom, of the indigenous communities, which are now diluted by modernity.

At Adau was formed back in 2014 by Lian Ngau and Meldrick Bob with Luke Wrender, Ezra Tekola, Alfanso ‘Fonso’ McKenzie, Cedric ‘C-Dik’ Riseng and their new member Cyril Clement. Recognising their calling to make traditional music “cool”, At Adau was initially formed around just three members with nothing but their passion and the bare minimum of core musical instruments which features the indigenous drums of Borneo and the iconic string instrument known as the Sape among modern electric instruments.

Their contemporary sound is loved by the world, performing at Edinbrugh Fringe Festival Scotland, United Kingdom, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore and many more. Their dream is to share their music to everyone, believing that music heals and rejuvenate the soul and the spirit. Follow them on the next step of their journey as it unfolds with Chimera Odyssey.
